Create a wiki about 21st century schools

ReplyDeletehands-on labs and activities such as building a model of DNA/discovering the effects of temperature on seed germination in relation to global warming
ReplyDeleteStudent groups made cakes through cutting square, rectangular, or round cakes into shapes that then created objects (pig, turtle, bear, etc...) and then calculated area and perimeter.
ReplyDeleteInstead of having students copy down notes on literary devices, I decided to give them the terms and find their own examples in music. Then I pulled them outside and let them explain and play their favorite songs, while describing the devices used. Turned out to be really popular.
