1. A teacher needs to have a balance between being "the expert" in their subject area, while still understanding that the students may be able to teach them something new.
2. A teacher needs to facilitate learning, rather than impart it.
3. A teacher needs to show passion for their subject area in order to inspire the students to love it.

The teacher that made the most impact on me was well prepared for the class every day, interacted with the entire class, and was personally interested in the students.
